You can update the Nvidia graphics card drivers on your PC either manually or automatically. There are several Nvidia tools available for this purpose.

Update Nvidia graphics card drivers manually: Instructions

  • Open the following Nvidia website to get to the graphics card drivers. There you will find the manual driver search.
  • If you know which graphics card is installed, enter the required information such as the series and your operating system. Then click on Search.
  • You will see an overview of the latest drivers for your Nvidia GPU. Select the current one using View. Then use the Download button to download the driver to your system.
  • Tip: If you don’t know anything about your graphics card, simply install Nvidia GeForce Experience on your PC. This program automatically detects your GPU and downloads the appropriate Nvidia drivers for you.

Update Nvidia graphics card drivers via Windows

  • You can also update the driver via Windows Device Manager. To do this, press the [Windows] and [R] keys at the same time to open the Run command.
  • Enter devmgmt.msc here and confirm with OK. The device manager will then start.
  • You will now find your Nvidia graphics card under the category “Graphics cards”. Select it with the mouse.
  • Right-click on the entry and select the Update Driver Software option.
  • Windows will search for the latest driver software. If an update is found, it will be installed automatically.
