After a certain amount of time, the battery of your smartphone is usually dead. In this practical tip, we tell you how you can revive it with a battery, among other things.
Revive the battery – with these tips you can save the battery
- You can try to revive your smartphone battery with a 9V battery. This works on the same principle as jumpering a car battery to recharge some of the cells of the battery. You will also need insulating tape and two small wires.
- Connect the battery and the rechargeable battery together using the wires at the positive and negative terminals respectively. You need two wires for each pole. Do not use a single wire to connect the poles together or you will earth the battery.
- Cover the wire and the connections to the poles using insulating tape. Leave the device like this and wait several minutes before putting the battery back into your smartphone.
- Alternatively, you can put the battery in a sealable plastic bag and then put it in the freezer overnight or for at least 12 hours.
- Be careful not to place the bag directly on the bottom of the freezer compartment, otherwise it may freeze solid.
- When you have taken the battery out of the freezer, wait until it is no longer cold and then dry it thoroughly.
