If there are problems with the Internet connection, you can reset your Fritz!Box. Unfortunately, the Fritz!Box does not have a reset button on the router.
Reset your Fritz!box via the browser
Caution: You reset your Fritz!Box to the factory settings. All data stored on it will be lost.
- Open the fritz.box user interface and log in with your password.
- Select “System” in the menu on the left.
- Under this you will find the option “Backup”.
- Click on the “Factory settings” tab at the top and click on the “Load factory settings” button.
- If you confirm the subsequent confirmation prompt, the Fritz!Box will restart and will not be accessible for at least one minute. Afterwards, you can call up the user interface again via the browser.
Resetting the Fritzbox via telephone
Set your telephone connected to the Fritz!Box so that it supports tone dialling. You will know if this is the case when you press a key during a call and a tone sounds at the other end of the line. This is already the case with most telephones.
- As soon as you hear the dial tone, type the following numbers and characters into the phone in sequence: 991*15901590*.
- The same applies here: If you reset the Fritz!Box to the factory settings, all stored data will be lost.
- If you then hang up, the Fritz!Box will be restarted. After about one minute, it is ready for use again.
