Black screen on PS5: Fix hardware problems
Black screen on PS5 is often caused by hardware issues.
- Check the power cable of the Playstation 5 and the TV. It may have accidentally come loose from the outlet. Plug it back in.
- It is possible that the HDMI cable is damaged. In this case, you need to replace it to be able to gamble with PS5.
- Check the channel that is currently set. This may change due to an update or if another person has used the TV. Set the channel to the appropriate HDMI port.
PS5 software problems: solutions for a black screen
In addition to hardware issues, software issues can also be the reason for the black screen on your PS5. The following solutions will help you:
- If your PS5 hangs up with a black screen, simply turn off the console. To do this, press the power button for a few seconds until you hear a beep. Wait for a few minutes and restart the PS5.
- Start the PS5 in security mode. Turn off your console and then press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps. Connect the controller to the console via the USB cable and turn it back on to start the security mode. Select the reboot PS5 option
- If PS5 startup in secure mode is not sufficient, it is probably an incompatible resolution. Restart the console in safe mode and adjust the resolution.
