Smartwatches like the Pixel Watch often have functions such as measuring blood pressure or blood oxygen. But often the watch alone is not sufficient to determine these parameters.

We’re sorry to disappoint you. The Pixel Watch from Google does not offer blood pressure measurement. Only an ECG via the integrated Fitbit fitness tracker is available to you. This allows you to record your heart rate and heart rhythm.

• Many smartwatch models from Samsung enable blood pressure measurement. The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic, are particularly recommended.

• The models have a built-in blood pressure monitor that measures blood pressure directly above the wrist. You need to calibrate the smartwatches before using them for the first time by using a proper blood pressure monitor.

• In addition to the Samsung models, there are smartwatches that have an integrated cuff for measuring. These are primarily the Huawei Watch D.

• The Huawei Watch D is equipped with a tube cuff that is inflated via a micropump during measurement. In combination with the differential pressure sensor, you can measure diastolic and systolic blood pressure.
