If you connect two headsets to one PC, you can listen to music or play games together.
Using two headsets on one PC
If the headphones do not have a USB cable, you will need a so-called Y-cable to connect the two headsets to your PC.
- Once all the technical requirements have been met, go to the Windows task list (in our example, Windows 11).
- Right-click on the speaker icon.
- Select “Sound settings” from the drop-down menu.
- In the top sub-item “Output”, all connected audio devices are displayed.
- Under “Pair new output device”, click on the option Add device and select how the new device should be connected. Whether by cable or Bluetooth is irrelevant.
- Windows will now automatically search for the newly connected devices and install them. You can then select the new devices under Output.
2 headsets on a Mac
Two headsets can also be connected to a Mac device with the right software. It doesn’t matter whether you connect the headsets via cable or Bluetooth.
- The “Audio-Midi-Set-up” utility, which you can find in the Utilities section under Applications, can be used to manage all connected audio devices.
- To create multiple outputs, click on the plus symbol and select the appropriate option. After you have selected the respective channels on the right side of the window, you just have to click on Apply.
- You can check whether everything is set up correctly under System Preferences. All registered output devices can be seen under Sound.
