You want to connect the printer to your cell phone? It’s not difficult. This means you can print pictures or documents from your smartphone
Connecting the printer to your cell phone – it only takes a few moments
You can print documents, photos and files not only from your computer, but also conveniently from your smartphone. To do this, first connect your smartphone to your printer.
- In the first step, check whether both the printer and smartphone are connected to the same network. To check the setting on your smartphone, open the Wi-Fi area and activate it. You will now see an overview of all available networks
- Now tap on the network you want to use and connect to the Wi-Fi. Proceed in a similar way for your printer. Depending on the model, you can connect via the WLAN antenna, LAN cable or the router.
- If your printer is designed for Wi-Fi, activate the corresponding function on your computer or smartphone. To do this, select the “Settings” area in the appropriate application and activate the Wi-Fi via the desired network. To do this, it is necessary to enter the Wi-Fi password
- If the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi, you can select a file on your smartphone and print it out. To do this, select the “Print” option and change the orientation, number of pages, color settings or paper size as required.
Help to print documents or images in a timely manner
Sometimes technology can cause a few worries. However, if your smartphone says “Printer not available”, you don’t have to despair. There are a few solutions you can use to solve the problem.
- If your printer does not accept the job from your cell phone, first close the application on your smartphone. Then start the print job again. At the second attempt, it is often quite easy to print the document, file or image. Photo paper is ideal for photos to achieve a beautiful quality. Normal printer paper is usually sufficient for documents and other printouts.
- If the print job still does not print, switch off all devices. This allows you to rule out sources of error in the cell phone, printer and WLAN. Then restart all devices to start a print job
- A poor network connection can also mean that documents or images cannot be printed. Check whether there is an Internet connection and how good the signal connections of the devices are.
- Sometimes print queues can also occur. This is always the case if you print several files or documents at the same time. If necessary, delete print jobs or force a stop to be able to print the prioritized jobs more quickly
