If you want to know how much electricity your computer really consumes, you can calculate it online. We will show you how to do it.
Calculate the electricity consumption of a computer
On the website of Roesner-IT.com you will find a very detailed consumption calculator for computers.
Just enter all the required data such as processor, graphics card, monitor and accessories. If you do not know about a feature, just leave it at the option already set.
Determine below how many days per year the computer runs and how many hours per day it is used. You can round up the “price per kWh” to 0.40 euros if you do not know your current electricity tariff.
Followed by the total consumption in the penultimate line “Electricity costs per year”. Don’t be confused by the last line marked in green. This is the saving compared to a very economical PC.
