Check Sony warranty status – here’s how

by Pramith

Every Sony product comes with a warranty. You can check the warranty status online via the warranty check

Check warranty status with Sony: Instructions

You can check the warranty status of Sony products such as Bravia televisions or Xperia smartphones directly. To do this, proceed as follows:

  • Important: You will need either the model name and serial number or the IMEI number of the device. You can find this directly on the device via a sticker, in the operating instructions or in the system settings, for example on smartphones and tablets.
  • Call up the Sony warranty check in a browser of your choice. Enter the required data there and confirm the captcha to check the warranty.
  • If you have registered your devices via a My Sony account, log in instead. Then go to Registered products in your account to see a list of all your registered devices.
  • Select the desired one to automatically check the warranty. The system also takes into account activated warranty extensions.
  • If you have not yet registered the desired device, you can do so via the customer account. To do this, click on the Register product button and fill out the form.
  • Complete the process by clicking the Register button. You will then find your warranty status in the product information.
