If error code 4f occurs, there are problems with the ink used in your Brother printer.

• This error often occurs when you are not using Brother ink

• In this case, it is worth replacing the ink you are using with the original Brother ink.

• Then restart the printer by unplugging the printer from the mains for a few seconds.

Error: Self-cleaning of the printer was not possible

It is also possible that the ink has dried out or the cartridges are dirty. This can occur if you have disconnected the printer from the power supply for a longer period of time.

• Therefore, remove the cartridges and clean them under running water. Then reinsert them into the printer and print one or two test pages to allow the ink to dry again

• Alternatively, you can also carry out a so-called print head cleaning on the printer. However, this consumes a lot of ink as it is flushed through the print head to clear it.
