In V Rising, you need to make leather to get better equipment. But before you can start, you need the right materials and the necessary building
This is how you make leather in V Rising
Similar to real life, leather in V Rising is made from animal hides in a tannery. You can get these hides early in the game by hunting wolves, bears or even deer. The tannery, however, is more difficult. You first have to unlock it before you can construct the respective building.
- You can unlock the tannery by finding and defeating Keely the Frost Archer with the help of a blood altar. You can then build a tannery in the base.
- Using the building menu “Production and Refinement” you can now build the tannery for 8 boards and about 160 animal skins. You can get boards at the sawmill. You can also get the recipe to eventually produce leather from Keely.
- To make it, simply pack the animal skins into the tannery. About 160 animal hides are needed for one piece of leather. Then the tannery produces the leather, but this takes a little time. To make it faster, you need about 2 to 3 production sites.
The Blood Altar: How to get the necessary recipes
The Blood Altar is built just like the Tannery via the building menu and helps you locate the various V-Blood bosses. For this you need 120 stones and 10 blood essences. In addition to the various recipes, you also receive a special ability with each boss. For example, defeating the Alpha Wolf allows you to transform into a wolf form.
- Keely the Frost Archer has a level of around 20 and, after a successful victory, gives you the Frost bat ability. If you follow her trail, you can defeat the boss directly. However, it can be a challenge at the beginning.
- To make the fight easier, don’t rush at Keely right away. The boss roams through the woods, fighting other enemies all the time. If she is weakened after such an encounter, you have a chance for an easier victory.
- As each region holds different V-Blood bosses, you won’t be able to directly challenge all of them. The levels of these bosses range from the Alpha Wolf at level 16 to, at least in the Farbane Woods, the Winged Horror at level 78.
