Total War: Medieval 3 is one of the potential titles in the strategy game series that many fans would like to see. The prospect of a successor remains slim
Total War: Medieval 3: Just a thought so far
Medieval: Total War and Medieval II: Total War are among Creative Assembly’s most popular games for many. But the third part is still a long way off.
- Medieval 2: Total War: Kingdoms was released in 2007 and was the last sign of life for the studio’s strategy games, which thrilled with battles, sieges, diplomacy and economy in medieval Europe and the New World. Only a port for macOS and Linux was released in 2016.
- Since then, numerous other games have been released that present epochs and stories in Japan, China, antiquity and even the Warhammer universe. However, Medieval 3: Total War is still a long way off
- There has been no announcement or information about Medieval 3: Total War from the developers. The game was only mentioned in an interview with the online magazine TechRadar in 2022
- The interview was about the Medieval games and their development process. Ian Roxburgh from Creative Assembly was also asked about Medieval 3: Total War and whether the developers could imagine tackling the game.
- According to Roxburgh, Creative Assembly would “obviously consider the game” because “the fans really want it”. He thinks that “as a studio, they will make it happen at some point”.
- This statement is not a real announcement. For this reason, it remains to be seen whether Medieval 3: Total War will bring the Crusades back to computers at some point.
