Sons of the Forest: How to find night vision goggles

With the night vision device in Sons of the Forest, you are armed against the darkness on the island. There are several locations where you can find the device

Find the night vision device in Sons of the Forest: Head to the Cultists’ Cave

Sons of the Forest provides you with two night-vision goggles that allow you to see much more in the dark.

• You can find both night-vision goggles in the largest cave on the island. This is the Cultists’ Cave, which runs from west to east beneath the mountain range.

• You can enter the cave from either the south-western or eastern entrance near the large lake. If you only want to collect one of the night vision goggles as quickly as possible, use the western entrance.

• The western entrance leads you directly into a room. There you will find a skeleton sitting in an armchair carrying the night vision device. You pick it up with [E].

• From the western entrance, you can also quickly reach the second night vision device by simply following the cave. Look out for a soldier hanging on the wall. He is carrying the night vision device

• You can also explore the cultist cave from the east and take the night-vision goggles with you on the way out. This route just takes considerably longer and you need to be well prepared. There are many dangers lurking in the depths

• To use the night vision device, switch to the inventory and equip it. You put it on automatically and can see the current charge status of the batteries in the top right-hand corner. Batteries are changed automatically as soon as their capacity is exhausted

• If you no longer wish to use the night vision device, press the [L] button. You will switch it off immediately.
