by Estelle

Resizing objects in Sims 4 is possible on all platforms using a key combination. The process can be optimized via individual steps

Sims 4: Resizing objects on the PC

If you have the Windows or Mac version of Sims 4, resize objects as follows:

  • In the game, first open the building mode. Within the construction mode, select the desired object that you have already placed:
  • Then press and hold the Shift key. You can now use the square bracket button ([) to gradually reduce the size of the object.
  • You can see directly from the grid how much space the object will then take up. For example, you can reduce a large carpet to a single field.
  • Note: If you want to enlarge the object again in Sims 4, use the Close square bracket (]) button in the same way.

Sims 4 also offers you the option to reduce the size of objects on Xbox and PlayStation.

  • If you are playing the Xbox version, press and hold the [LT] and [RT] buttons after selecting an object. Use [D-pad down] to make the object smaller
  • The PlayStation version works in the same way. All you have to do is hold down [L2] and [R2].
  • It is also possible to enlarge objects again using the directional pad. All you have to do is press [D-pad up].
