Play Lost Ark with friends: This is how co-op works

To play Lost Ark with friends, you don’t have to struggle through the cumbersome menu navigation of the Korean MMORPG. We tell you how you can play together in groups.

Play Lost Ark with friends – Send friend requests

If you want to play Lost Ark with your friends, you should first send them a friend request in the game.

• In the game, press [ESC] to open the options menu.

• Look for the “Community” tab, then click on “Friends”.

• Alternatively, you can also click directly on the community icon at the bottom right to get to the friends menu. Or you can use the keyboard shortcut [U].

• Now navigate to the “Request” menu and click on “Request” at the bottom. Enter the character name of your friend to be added to search for their game character.

• You can also add friends via chat commands. To do this, enter either /addfriend (nickname) or /invitefriend (nickname).

• Important: If your requests do not arrive, the target person should check whether everything is correct in the settings. Press [ESC] to return to the menu and then to the settings. Under “Community” you will find the submenu “Notification and Requests”, where you can make the appropriate changes.

How to find your friends in the game

Before you can add your friends to your group in Lost Ark, the following basic conditions must be met:

• All players must be on the same server. When choosing, pay attention to the ping and the load. It might also be worth switching to an Asian or American server.

• The channel must also be the same for all players. You can see which one you are in in the area above the minimap, top right.

• If you find that you need to change channels, you can only do so after the prologue. Then just click on the small arrow next to the number and select one together.

Invite friends to your group

By playing together as a team, you will quickly learn the best Lost Ark strategies from other gamers who have been active for a while. This works best when you are in a group with everyone.

• Simply right-click on your friend’s name to open the interaction menu. Here you then click on “Group invitation”.
• Alternatively, use a chat command again: Use /inviteparty (nickname) to add your friends to the game group.
• If the avatar of the friend you want to invite is visible on the monitor, you can right-click on the game character while holding down the [CTRL] key. The friend can then be added to the group in the drop-down menu.
• You can remove as many players from a group as you like. To do this, simply enter /partyban (nickname) in the chat.
• If you want to vote on the exclusion of a player in the group first, enter the following in the chat box instead: /voteban (nickname) – abstentions are counted as votes against in this case.
