Minecraft: Deactivate voice output – how to do it

by Pramith

If you want to deactivate the Minecraft voice output, you can do so via the main menu. You will find the option in the accessibility settings

Disable voice output in Minecraft: Instructions

You can disable the voice output in Minecraft at any time via the main menu. To do this, proceed as follows:

  • Start Minecraft. In the main menu, switch to the options at the bottom left:
  • Now you have two submenus available to deactivate the voice output: Chat settings and Accessibility. It does not matter which submenu you select, as both affect the game in the same way.
  • Within these menus, localize the Voice output option. Now click on the field repeatedly until you reach the Off setting. This deactivates the voice output, which is displayed once again
  • If you are playing the mobile or console version, you will also find the option in the main menu under Help. You can either switch the screen reader on or off there
  • Note: In the game, you can use the key combination [Ctrl] and [B] on Windows computers or [Command] and [B] on Macs to deactivate the voice output.
