League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) computer game that is free-to-play, i.e. it doesn’t actually cost anything. However, it is still possible to spend money on LoL, namely in the form of cosmetics and other extras outside of direct gameplay. It’s easy to find out how much money you’ve already spent on the popular game:
- Go to the League of Legends support page
- Log in with your Riot account details.
- Now all you have to do is click on the “Show me the money” button and you will receive your amount.
- Tip: Check this amount regularly to keep an eye on your spending and avoid accidentally spending too much money. Otherwise, you can of course also consider uninstalling League of Legends.

Cosmetics and other extras outside of direct gameplay are popular items to buy in League of Legends.
- For example, champions, skins or boosts. You can also earn many of these things with influence points, but this costs a lot of time.
- You can use real money to buy Riot Points (RP), one of the main currencies alongside Blue Essences (BE), which you can only obtain by playing games.
- Sometimes you can receive free Riot Points at events. Also as compensation for server problems or similar.
- League of Legends is not a pay-to-win game. This means that anything you can buy with real money has no direct influence on the gameplay.
- Create a League of Legends account to have the opportunity to play the game and buy RP.
