If you have lost track of your last place of death in Minecraft, there is a way to find it again to collect your precious items.
Find a Minecraft death location: Here’s how to do it with a simple trick
With a clever trick, you can track down your last place of death in Minecraft as long as you haven’t spawned back into the game yet.
- In case of death, quit the game via the main menu and open a new world. This will start a separate section of the game.
- In this new world, press the F3 key to activate the coordinate display. This will give you important information about your position on the map. Leave the new world again by closing it or opening another world. This will allow you to perform the trick in your original world.
- Now return to your original world where you died. Note that you are still dead and have lost your items. However, even though you are dead, you can see the coordinates of your current position by using the F3 mode. This information will help you find your place of death more easily.
- For safety’s sake, press the F2 key to take a screenshot of the coordinates. This step will help you later in finding the place of your death. After you have taken the screenshot, spawn again to go in search of your lost items.
- Navigate to the location where you died using the noted coordinates. Note that the 5-minute time limit for collecting your items does not start until your place of death is in the loaded map area. Within this time, you can collect your lost items and prevent losing them.
