If your Epic Games account has been hacked or if you suspect that it has been accessed, you need to take action. Support is here to help you.
Epic Games account hacked: How to report it
You can recognise a potentially hacked Epic Games account when you receive a notification of suspicious login activity. You may also receive a message for two-factor authentication (2FA) that you did not request yourself. In this case, your account may have been hacked or a hacking attempt may have taken place.
- If you suspect that your account has been hacked, first contact Epic Games Customer Service. They will be able to assist you and check your account for any other suspicious activity or IP addresses.
- The important thing now is to change your password and adjust or set up a 2FA if you don’t already have one. Use a unique password to increase the security of your account.
- Check your emails for suspicious activity. If an alternative email you don’t recognise has been left, make a note of it for customer support and delete it.
- Also check your linked social media accounts to ensure there is no unauthorised access to them. It is possible that one of your social media accounts has been hacked, making the Epic Games account an easy target.
- Also check to see if any purchases have been made using your saved payment methods. As a precaution, have cards blocked if you notice any transactions.
