Anno 1800: What you can do about pollution

Environmental pollution is just one of the realistic problems you have to solve in the outstanding PC building game Anno 1800. Our tips will help you to take action against it.

• Heavy industry and the associated refineries or steelworks cause pollution on your island. The attractiveness of your city thereby negatively affected.

• One possibility would be to build the heavy industry at the end of the island. However, this only helps to a limited extent.

• It is possible, however, to increase the attractiveness with, for example, large parks and cultural sites so that the pollution is superimposed. However, this variant is very cost-intensive. In addition, the buildings and zones require a lot of space.

• The best solution is to outsource the heavy industry completely to other islands and to transport the resources between the islands by ships.
