Samsung Smart Call is an in-house feature from Samsung that notifies you of suspected spam when you receive a call from an unknown number. This makes it easier for you to decide not to answer the phone when you are confronted with an unknown caller.
All Smart Call features
When calls come from unknown numbers, most people get suspicious. And rightly so: almost everyone has received suspicious calls. With Samsung Smart Call, you can detect annoying call centre calls and spam attempts before you even pick up the phone.
- When Samsung Smart Call is activated, your phone will alert you to incoming calls with an unknown number if it’s a known scam number. To help you recognise the danger at a glance, your call screen is highlighted in orange instead of green.
- Some such numbers are not proven scammers. In this case, your Samsung will inform you that the calling number is considered suspicious.
- If the number is reported as legitimate, you will get the green light.
- If a fraudulent hotline does come through, you have the option to report and block the number immediately after the call to stop being harassed.
