You can change and customise the watch face of your Samsung Galaxy Watch using both the watch itself and the app on your smartphone. We’ll show you how to do it.
How to change the watch face on a Samsung Galaxy Watch
The method on how to change the watch face directly on a Samsung Galaxy Watch works the same on all models. This includes both the devices with Samsung’s own operating system Tizen OS, as well as the newer models with Google’s Wear OS.
- Turn on the display of your Samsung Galaxy Watch and press and hold the current watch face.
- Use the “Customise” button to change the appearance or items displayed depending on the watch face.
- If you want to change the dial itself, scroll left and right with your finger or the bezel to browse its dials.
- Once you’ve found a watch face that suits you, tap it to set it as your new watch face.
Change dial in the app
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is connected to your smartphone via the Galaxy Wearable App. Therefore, you can also change its watch face in the app. The apps for the watches with Tizen OS and Wear OS only differ in design and structure, but the procedure is the same.
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone.
- Select the menu item “Watch faces”.
- Your current clock face is displayed in the upper area. Here, too, you can change the appearance of your dial by clicking on “Customise”.

Below this, you will see your other dials sorted by category. Tap one of them to set it as your new watch face.
