If your Samsung Galaxy Tab no longer charges, this can have several causes. We show you what the cause is and how you can fix the error.
Samsung Galaxy Tab no longer charges: The charging adapter is often to blame
- In some models, the charging adapter supplied by Samsung is to blame for the problem. Especially when the Galaxy Tab is completely discharged, it won’t charge anymore
- The charging adapters are designed in such a way that they only start charging when they receive power from the battery. If the battery is completely empty, the charging adapter does not recognise the unit and does not charge it.
- Just use a different power adapter. Numerous users report that the power adapter of an iPhone, for example, works perfectly.
Samsung Galaxy Tab does not charge – this may also be the problem
- Dust: Dust accumulates in many charging sockets over time. If the dust blocks the contacts, charging is not possible. It is best to remove the dust with a toothbrush, not with metallic objects.
- Connection: If the cable has been plugged in incorrectly or the tablet has become damp, the connection may be defective. In this case, there is no way around a repair.
- Battery: If the device has not been used for a long time, it may be deeply discharged. In this case, the tablet needs a while before anything happens on the display. It is also possible that the battery is defective.
- Cable: Try charging your Galaxy Tab with a different cable. Non-original cables in particular wear out quickly.
