Samsung Galaxy S5: How to change the battery
To insert the new battery in the Galaxy S5, you need to remove the cover on the back and take out the old battery.
- Switch the device off first. Wait until the device has completely shut down.
- Turn the smartphone over. There is a small gap at the top left edge of the cover. Carefully lever the cover upwards with your fingernail and then remove it from the device.
- The back cover is extremely flexible, so you do not usually have to worry about it breaking. Nevertheless, you should be careful not to overstretch the material.
- Remove the battery by levering it out from the side.
- Then insert the new battery and close the cover.
- Now you can switch the device and the new battery back on.
