Is the Google Pixel 7 waterproof?
The Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro were recently unveiled. If you’re interested in either of the smartphones, here’s what you need to know:
- The IP protection class of the smartphone indicates whether it is waterproof. Both the Google Pixel 7 and the 7 Pro are certified according to IP68. This means that the smartphones are water- and dust-proof.
- So if your phone gets wet, for example, from the rain or when you wash up, it’s not a problem.
- This means that the device is water resistant. However, it is not completely waterproof, so you should not go swimming with it. If it falls into a pool, for example, it is protected at a depth of 1.5 metres for about 30 minutes.
- However, normal wear and tear that occurs after some time on the unit may cause the water resistance to deteriorate.
