You can create a scroll screenshot on your smartphone very easily with the right key combination. This article shows you how to do it on iPhone and Android.
Taking a scroll screenshot with your smartphone: How to do it on iPhone
A screenshot photographs your currently displayed mobile phone screen – but if you want to capture an entire web page, a simple screenshot is not enough. With a scroll screenshot, you photograph the whole page from top to bottom or the section you specify. If you use an iOS smartphone, it works like this:
- Call up the app in which you want to take a long screenshot, for example your browser.
- Press the power button and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot. For smartphones with a home button, press the home and power buttons at the same time.
- You will now see a small preview in the bottom left-hand corner. Tap on it.
- Now select the “Whole page” mode at the top.
- Finally tap on “Done”.
Long screenshot with Android
You can also take a scrolling screenshot with your Android smartphone. The function is available on Samsungs and Huawei without an additional app.
- Create a screenshot as usual by pressing the Power and Quiet keys at the same time.
- You will then see a preview of the screenshot. To the right of it you will see an icon with an arrow pointing downwards. Tap on it
- The screenshot will now be longer in the preview. By pressing the down arrow key several times, you will scroll further down the page and your screenshot will become longer.
- Once you are satisfied, you can tap the preview and see your screenshot in the gallery.
