How to disable Bixby

If you want to disable Bixby, there are several options available. Select the one that suits you and the Samsung voice assistant will remain silent.

Disable Bixby via the settings

To disable Bixby on your Samsung device, you can follow these steps:

• Go to your device’s “Settings.”

• Scroll down and select “Advanced Features”.

• Tap “Bixby”.

• Select “Exit Bixby” and confirm. You may need to enter your Samsung account password.

Deactivate the Bixby button

The process is even easier if you deactivate the Bixby button.

• Go to your device’s “Settings”.

• Scroll down and select “Advanced Features”.

• Tap “Function Key”.

• Remap the Bixby button: Select a different action for the button, e.g. turn off menu or set a different app.

Deactivate Bixby Home

There is also the option to disable Bixby Home. While you can’t completely delete Bixby, these steps will help you limit its functionality and minimize its annoyances.

• Press on an empty area of the home screen.

• Select “Home Screen Settings.”

• Uncheck the “Bixby Home” option.
