You can activate or deactivate your Samsung mailbox in just a few steps. Read the following points to find out how to do this:

  • Open the phone app on your Samsung smartphone and click on “Keyboard” at the bottom.
  • Tap on the three dots at the top right and select “Settings”.
  • Scroll down and open the option “Additional Services””
  • Tap on “Call forwarding” here.
  • Here you will see four options where the mailbox can become active. You will find an explanation of the individual settings in the second chapter.
  • Activate: If you select one or more of these options, you must enter your mailbox number and tap on “Activate”.
  • Disable: If you want to switch off your Samsung mailbox instead of activating it, click on the option you no longer want and select “Deactivate”.

Samsung provides four options for forwarding calls to your mailbox. Before you turn them on or off, you should know what’s behind them.

  • Always forward: All incoming calls are automatically forwarded to your mailbox.
  • Forward when busy: If you are currently on a call, incoming calls will be forwarded to your mailbox.
  • Forward if no answer: If you do not answer, the call will be forwarded to voicemail.
  • Forward if not available: If you have no network at the moment or your Samsung phone is switched off, calls will go to voicemail.

Alternative: Activate / deactivate mailbox via control code or speed dialling

All network operators provide their customers with so-called GSM codes, with which you can switch your mailbox on and off. Simply enter the respective code in the phone app of your Samsung smartphone. Alternatively, you can also dial fixed speed dial numbers.
