Clear the RAM in Android – here’s how

by Pramith

Clear the RAM on your Android smartphone or tablet and speed up your device in just a few simple steps.

Clear the RAM in Android: Delete the app cache

Android usually manages the memory itself. To support your device, it is worth deleting the cache of apps that are performance-heavy.

  • Open the settings on your Android device. Select Apps and then App Info.
  • Search for apps that have a high memory usage. In the app details view, go to the Storage tab.
  • Within this menu, you can clear the cache. The occupied memory is released, which has a positive effect on the RAM of the end device.
  • Alternatively, you can manage the storage space and, for example, delete your user data. This will free up even more storage space.
  • Tip: You can also simply delete apps via the app info if you only use them rarely.
