TFT PBE: How to play the new set on the test server

Before each new set, players wait to be able to play TFT on the PBE. Unfortunately, various bugs make it not so easy to log in. Instead, the PBE displays the message “Game Unavailable”.

Login for TFT on the PBE: “Game Unavailable” – how to solve the problem

The login for Teamfight Tactics on the PBE server is done via the normal client for which you also log in on the live server. You can also find the download for an exclusive PBE account at Riot Games – but you don’t need it.

• Open the Riot Games client. If you are automatically logged in, click on the X symbol at the top right and then on “Sign Out” or “Log off”.
• Now enter your login details for your PBE account. It is important that you enter the login details for the PBE instead of those for your normal account.
• Once you have selected the correct details, the next thing you will see is the huge “Game Unavailable” or “Game currently unavailable” screen
• Within the message, click on the X icon in the top right corner instead of logging out or using another account.
• The message disappears and you click on the blue “Update” area at the bottom left. If your version is up to date, it will say “Play”.
• If the button is greyed out, click on the arrow symbol to the right of the button and click on “League of Legends PBE”. You will then need to enter your login details for the PBE again.

PBE: prerequisites and common problems

TFT to play on the PBE is only possible on the PC.

• You need a PBE account. If you don’t already have one, you can register on this Riot page.
• Click on “Registration” there and enter your data. Then select “Check my eligibility”.
• If you do not have the required Honor level on your Riot account, create a new account, log in once and then go to the PBE registration page again.
• During registration, you will set your account details. You will need these to log on to the PBE.
• If the login does not work at all, it is possible that the PBE is actually not available at the moment. As a test server, Riot occasionally carries out small updates here almost daily, because of which the TFT PBE server is down.
• If you get another error message after logging in, you may have to close the client and then start it as an administrator by right-clicking on the icon.
• On new TFT sets, the PBE server is often very full. You may have a log-in queue of several hours. However, the displayed time you have to wait to log in is rarely correct.
