Cancel your BahnCard online – this is how it works

If you no longer need your BahnCard or it is becoming too expensive for you, you can cancel it easily and quickly online

Cancel your BahnCard using the online form

If you do not cancel your Bahncard 6 weeks before it expires, the subscription will be automatically extended by one year. The easiest way to cancel is online:

• Open the website of the Bahncard Service.

• Select “Cancel your Bahncard” as the subject.

• In the message, you can keep it short or simply adopt the following text: “Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby give notice of termination of my BahnCard. Please send me a written confirmation of the cancellation. Yours sincerely “

• Then enter your contact details, your BahnCard number and your e-mail address and send the cancellation.

• You will receive a confirmation e-mail within the next few days that your BahnCard has been cancelled.

An easy way to cancel your contract is via our partner Aboalarm. All you have to do is enter your personal data in the pre-formulated letter of cancellation. Then print out the letter and send it to the address provided.
