Connecting the Toniebox to the WLAN – this is how it works

In order to start using the Toniebox or to be able to listen to a new Tonie, you need to connect your Toniebox to the WLAN. Only a few steps are necessary for this. We will explain how to do it in these instructions.

Instructions: Connect Toniebox to WLAN

If you want to set up your Toniebox or play a new Tonie for the first time, you need an internet connection for the box. This is how you connect the Toniebox to the WLAN:

• Place your Toniebox near an active Wi-Fi router. This will ensure optimal reception.

• If you are setting up your Toniebox for the first time, you will need to create a Tonie account on the official Tonie website before you can connect to the Wi-Fi.

• If your Toniebox is already set up and you want to add a new wifi, go to the myTonies wifi page with your laptop or PC. When you are on the road, you can also connect your mobile phone to the Toniebox.

• Enter the Toniebox ID in the field provided. You will find this on the bottom of your Toniebox.

• Now press and hold both ears of the Toniebox for about five seconds. You will hear a beep and the blue LED of the Toniebox will start to flash – now release both buttons.

• Now you can select your WLAN network from a drop-down menu. If necessary, enter the network key of your router and click on “Connect Toniebox”.

• Now you can select your WLAN network from a drop-down menu.
  • Your Toniebox will now confirm the successful connection with the statement: “Oh yes, now I’m ready for the Tonies! Have fun!”
