To create a screencast, you can also use one of the many free tools available.
- For example, use VLC Media Player or ActivePresenter to record your screen in Windows 10. The next section explains how to create a screencast with ActivePresenter.
- Microsoft used to provide its own software for creating screencasts called Expression Encoder. This is no longer supported. The standard tool to use now is the Xbox Game Bar, for example.
