- Lifelink is an ability that the respective duelist can use.
- Lifelink is a keyword ability. If a creature you control has lifelink, you gain life equal to the damage done by that creature to their opponent in a combat.
- You receive the health points through the Lifelink at the exact moment the damage is caused to the opponent. Further consequences from the respective fight will follow in chronological order.
- This also means that the life points are only credited if damage has actually been done. If the damage is prevented in any way, no life points will be received through the Lifelink.
Tips for playing with Lifelink
No matter how good an ability is in Magic: The Gathering, it will only really help you if you follow an appropriate game strategy in MTG.
- When playing with Lifelink, make sure that it’s not just about life points. You also need to be able to do enough damage to advance in the game and get life points in turn. Don’t neglect this balance.
