The AI-powered research function Gemini Deep Research by Google Gemini can be used in a variety of ways and in everyday life.
- Access and activation: Open Gemini Advanced on your desktop or mobile website. Select “Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research” in the model selection at the top left. Important: The function is currently only available in English.
- Using Deep Research: Formulate your research question or topic clearly and precisely. Gemini automatically creates a multi-step research plan. Review the plan and adjust it if necessary. Click “Start Research” to begin the process.
- Research process: Multiple AI agents scour the internet for relevant information. The AI analyzes, compares and summarizes the data found. The process takes several minutes and continuously refines the analysis.
- Results and follow-up: Gemini generates a comprehensive report with main findings. The report contains links to original sources for easy verification.
- You can export the report to a Google Doc. Ask follow-up questions or request refinements to the report.
