When you create an invitation link in WhatsApp, other people can easily join your WhatsApp group. You can create the link in just a few steps.

An invitation link makes it easier to join a WhatsApp group. To create such a link, you must be a group administrator. If this requirement is met, proceed as follows:

• Open WhatsApp and the group for which the invitation link is to be created.

• Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Group Info”.

• Scroll down a bit and click on the “Invite with Link” button.

• A link will then be automatically created that the recipient can use to join the group with a simple tap.

• You can send the link directly via WhatsApp. You can also copy the link to the clipboard and share it on other networks from there.

• You can also create a QR code that others can scan.

Reset the invitation link: How to do it

If the link has been shared with other people you didn’t actually want to invite to the group, you can reset the invitation link. It will then no longer be possible to join the group via this link.

• To do this, open the WhatsApp group and tap the three dots.

• Select “Group info” and tap “Invite with link”.

• Now tap “Reset link”.

• If you want, you can then create a new invitation link. To do so, proceed as described in the first chapter.
