- Terra Blade: This blade is the best sword you can own. You craft it from the “True Night Edge”, the “True Excalibur” and a “Broken Hero Sword”. Since you also need a “Broken Hero Sword” for the “Night Edge” and the “Excalibur”, crafting the “Terra Blade” is very expensive and time-consuming. On the other hand, the blade has a phantom strike, so you can also use it as a ranged weapon.
Terraria: The best ranged weapons

- Maxi Shark: The Maxi Shark is a fast-firing firearm. To craft it, you need 20 “Souls of Power”, 5 shark fins, illegal weapon parts and a mini shark. In addition to the weapon’s high speed, you have a 50 percent chance of not using up any ammo with a shot. This makes the Maxihai particularly useful for longer boss fights.
- Chlorophyte crossbow: You craft this weapon with a total of 12 Chlorophyte bars. You can find these in the jungle as soon as your world is in hard mode. The crossbow shoots up to 4 arrows at a time, with only one being consumed. Unfortunately, arrows that have been shot cannot be picked up again. Nevertheless, the weapon does a lot of damage due to its fast pace.
Terraria: The best magic weapons
Magic weapons are also available in the game:
- Spectral Staff: The spells this staff fires pursue your opponents. This allows you to hit them even around corners. The “Spectral Staff” does a lot of damage. It has a 3.33% chance of being dropped by the Ragged Caster monster, which you can find in the dungeon in hard mode.
- Hydra Staff: This staff summons a Hydra to fight for you. The Hydra shoots ice crystals that do a lot of damage. You can find the staff in ice chests. However, you need the “Frozen Key” to open it, which rarely drops or is difficult to craft.
