If you want to resend an email in Outlook, you have to go through the folder area. There is no simple command to execute.
Outlook 365: Resending sent mail
If you are using the latest version of Microsoft Outlook 365, you can resend a sent mail.
- Go to the folder section and select “Sent Items”. Select the message you want to resend.
- Now click on the […] symbol. Further options will be displayed.
- Click on “Advanced Actions” and then on “Resend Message”.
- The mail to be resent is displayed. You can now edit the sent mail in Outlook, for example, by removing or adding recipients or uploading new attachments. You can also edit the sent mail at this point.
- Note: If you want to resend multiple messages, you have to repeat the above procedure for each individual message. In Outlook, you can only resend one message at a time.
Resend e-mails in Outlook 2010
If you are using the older 2010 version, the “Resend” command is hidden in a rather unexpected position:
- In the Outlook “Sent Items” folder, open the message you want to resend to the same recipient.
- In the ribbon for the message window, activate the “Messages” tab.
- In the “Move” section, click the “More Move Actions” button.
- A small menu will appear, in which you will now also find the command “Resend this message”.
- This will cause Outlook to open the message in a new message window. Here you can add a few notes and comments if necessary before you send the message on its way again by clicking “Send”.
