With a small formula, you can round up to whole numbers in Excel. You only have to make a few settings and steps for this.
This is how you can round up to whole numbers in Excel
You have to perform the following actions in the Microsoft program Excel:
- Select the cell whose decimal number is to be rounded up. A decimal number is a number with a comma that consists of the integer, the comma, and the decimal places. Examples of this are the numbers “73.5557” and “0.68”.
- Simply enter the command “=ROUNDUP(A1;0)” in another cell (without spaces), because you don’t have to create a formula with Excel yourself. For “A1”, any cell reference can be used in which the number to be rounded is located.
- For “A1”, you can also type in the entire decimal number to be rounded. The “0” inserted after a semicolon indicates that there must be no decimal places after rounding.
- For example, the number “73. 5557” is rounded up to the whole number ‘74’ and the number ‘0.68’ is rounded up to the whole number ‘1’.
