The first solution is to delete certain files. These are usually restored after restarting the smartphone and no data is lost. However, we recommend backing up the data beforehand to avoid a catastrophe in the worst case scenario.
- The “media storage” in Android is a database in which certain shortcuts are created. This means that your music app, for example, knows where to find the audio files
- The database is actually rebuilt automatically after deletion. To avoid a worst-case scenario – total data loss – you should back up your Android beforehand.
- Open the settings of your smartphone and tap on “Applications”.
- Select the respective applications whose cache or data you want to delete. Then select “Memory” and then “Delete cache”.

If the error still appears, other apps are probably responsible for the problem.
- Delete the data as described above for the “Downloads” and “Download Manager” apps. Also restart the smartphone
