If you want to defeat Relaxo in Pokémon Go, you should put together a suitable battle team beforehand. The decisive factor is which Pokémon type you choose for the battle
How to defeat Relaxo in Pokémon Go
Relaxo is a level three Raid Boss. If you defeat the Pokémon in a raid, you can catch it afterwards.
- Relaxo is a Normal-type Pokémon and has a weakness to Fighting attacks. So put together your team from as many Fighting-type Pokémon with suitable attacks as possible.
- Relaxo is resistant to Ghost-type attacks. You should therefore avoid using Spirit-type Pokémon against this raid boss.
- If you have already reached level 40 or higher, you can usually defeat Relaxo alone in the raid. If your Trainer level is lower, you should fight the Pokémon together with at least one other Trainer.
- Good counterattacks against Relaxo include Machomei and Hariyama. The Crypto versions of these Pokémon are particularly effective against Relaxo. Lucario, Meistagrif and Kapilz can also deal a lot of damage to Relaxo.
- Among the particularly effective combat attacks that they can use against Relaxo are “Counter”, “Balancing Blow”, “Karate Chop” and “Aurasphere”.
- Note that combat attacks are boosted in cloudy weather, giving you an advantage in the raid. However, if the sky is partly cloudy, Relaxo receives a weather boost and is therefore stronger.
Special attacks: Relaxo is not easy to defeat
Relaxo has a high HP value and a high special defense. For example, the special ability Bacon Layer makes it difficult to attack. This ability reduces the strength of ice and fire attacks against Relaxo by half. The immunity ability also prevents it from being poisoned, paralyzed or put to sleep.
- When carrying the Z-Crystal Relaxonium Z, Relaxo receives a powerful Z-Attack – namely “No more fun”. The name says it all for the opponent:
- In contrast, Relaxe is rather sparsely equipped as far as offensive attacks are concerned. Apart from the Snorer, Relaxe can’t offer any special attacks here
- But: A big advantage of Relaxo is that it can learn many Normal-type physical attacks, such as “Tackle”, “Bodyslam” or “Gigastrike”. Relaxo’s high body weight makes these attacks particularly powerful and effective.
- However, its defense against physical attacks remains rather low, making it a weakness of this Pokémon. It is therefore better not to use Relaxo in close combat.
