Baldur's Gate 3: Morgue - Walkthrough - Practical Tips

Baldur’s Gate 3: Morgue – Walkthrough

by Mike

The Morgue in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an optional dungeon that you can explore in the second act. Here you must pay particular attention to the poison gas

Baldur’s Gate 3: Reach and explore the charnel house

You will find the charnel house in the Cursed Shadowlands in the immediate vicinity of the House of Healing.

  • From the House of Healing in Baldur’s Gate 3, simply head west. This is possible via the west exit in the House of Healing, for example, if you don’t want to fight your way through Reithwin.
  • Follow the hill to a cave entrance guarded by numerous shadowy figures. Kill them and enter the charnel house. During the fight, make sure that your light sources do not go out.
  • In the morgue, you should first check the left entrance area. With a successful perception check of at least 10, you will find a switch to a hidden room. This room contains interesting loot that you should not miss out on
  • Go to the main area afterwards, but watch out for the easily recognizable poison gas. You must either cover the holes in the floor from which the gas is leaking with crates or barrels or defuse them like traps.
  • Use either a character with sufficient constitution or a lot of HP, for example Karlach. At the same time, you will be attacked by zombies, which are great for attacking from a distance. Not all party members have to go into the poison clouds
  • Once you have killed the zombies, go to the room to the south on the left. Loot it and you will find equipment and a key for the laboratory in the morgue. Take it with you and open the lab at the end of the main room

Morgue in Baldur’s Gate 3: Laboratory and exit

The laboratory is important for escaping the morgue in Baldur’s Gate 3.

  • In the laboratory you will find numerous notes on all kinds of experiments and how they have affected the cursed land. There is also good loot, including several healing potions
  • Even more important is the lever you have to pull. This will open the heavy doors in the main area that you couldn’t simply push open before.
  • Behind this door you will find a chasm that will lead you out of the morgue. Move down slowly by jumping to avoid falling. Spells such as feather fall are very helpful here
  • On the way down you can discover more crates. At the end, you’ll be attacked by a snake and a suit of armor before you can leave the morgue.
  • You come out at a hut guarded by cursed Kuo-Toa. This is a tough fight that you should not underestimate. From the hut, you will once again reach the Mausoleum of Thorm
  • Note: If you want to enter the morgue from the mausoleum, you will find a button in the hut with the Kuo-Toa. Press this and you will reach the abyss, which you can then climb up
