Palworld Crossplay – an update is planned

As Palworld was released as an Early Access game, the game is missing various planned features, including the eagerly awaited crossplay function. The lack of the option to play with friends on other platforms is particularly painful, as other survival games such as Minecraft already allow cross-play.

• When games are released in Early Access, this usually means that these games are still in development and do not yet have the scope that the developers have planned for the finished game.

• Although crossplay between the Xbox ecosystem and Steam is currently not possible, developer Pocketpair has assured us in an official roadmap for the game that the feature is planned for a future update.

• In addition to raid bosses, the new content that Pocketpair wants to implement includes a PvP system that will allow players to compete against each other both in the open world and in the form of a “Pal Arena”. New technologies, islands, bosses and new Pals will also find their way into the game.

• Although Palworld is often referred to online as “Pokémon with guns”, the game has little in common with the popular franchise apart from catching monsters and training. Palworld is anchored in the survival genre in terms of its mechanics and is therefore closer to games such as Valheim.
