TikTok history: Finding videos you’ve watched is no problem!

by Johannes

You can easily view your TikTok history for the last 180 days via the settings. You can get older activities by downloading your data

TikTok: How to view your history

If you want to see your TikTok history for the last 180 days, you can easily do this via your profile settings:

  • Open the TikTok app on your smartphone and tap on “Profile” in the bottom right-hand corner.
  • Use the three dashes at the top right to navigate to the “Settings and privacy” menu.
  • Scroll down a little until you find the “Activity Center” item. Here you will find all interactions in the app, including history, comments and your own search history.

How to download your data

You can also download your history. You will then receive a .TXT file in which you can search for videos.

  • Open your TikTok app and go to your profile and tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner.
  • Then go to “Settings and privacy” and tap on “Account”.
  • In the list you will find the menu item “Download your data”. In the subsequent overview, you can request the data that TikTok has stored about you.
  • Select “TXT” and finally tap on “Request data”. This process may now take a few days.
  • If your request has been processed, you can download the data via the “Download data” tab. You will receive a ZIP folder containing your data. Unzip this folder to access your data. You can do this with 7-Zip-Entpacker, for example:
  • Your history data can be found in the “Your activities” folder. Open the “Video Browsing” file. Here you will find all the links to the videos you have watched on TikTok. The date and time when you watched the video will also be displayed next to the link
