Connecting a PS5 controller to the Nintendo Switch: No problem with an adapter
It is possible to connect your Nintendo Switch to a PS5 controller.
- You only need a Bluetooth adapter for the Nintendo Switch. There are various models available, but you should choose one that is compatible with the DualSense controller.
- Dock your Nintendo Switch and switch it on. Connect the Bluetooth adapter to the console.
- On the Nintendo Switch, go to the system settings. Within this menu, select the “Controllers and sensors” option.
- You must activate the option “Pro Controller Wired Communication” so that the console can communicate with the adapter. Now press the button to pair with the USB adapter
- As soon as the USB adapter flashes, press the PS and Create button (top left) on the DualSense controller at the same time. The PS5 controller will also start flashing and will now attempt to pair with the adapter
- As soon as the DualSense controller stops flashing, the pairing should be complete. You can then use the PS5 controller with the Nintendo Switch
- The DualSense controller works perfectly with the Nintendo Switch, but certain functions are not available. These include the haptic feedback and microphone of the PS5 controller
