Amazon Passkey: information and setup

Amazon Passkey is available to all Amazon customers. It is an alternative login method using a PIN, fingerprint sensor or Face ID.

  • At the current time (as of October 2023), you can use Passkey via select browsers like Chrome and on iOS mobile devices. Support for Android endpoints is still to be enabled.
  • The setup is done directly via your Amazon customer account. To do this, log in as usual and go to My Account. There you will find the submenu Sign in and Security.
  • Find the Passkey option and click Set up. Then you can select whether you want to set up the passkey for a browser or your mobile device.
  • Select the one you want and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. After that, you can simply log in using a PIN, Face ID, or your device’s fingerprint sensor and no longer need your password.
