Apple Watch Series 9 release date and price of the watches
It has become a good old tradition that Apple presents its new products towards the end of the year, like the Watch Series. This year is no different, of course, and the official release date for the Apple Watch Series 9 has been set for 22 September.
- If the basic features of the Apple Watch 9 are enough for you, you’re already in for 449 euros. As usual with the Californian cult brand, there are hardly any upper limits for the Apple Watch.
- The Apple Watch 9 naturally comes with a number of innovations. Among other things, the smartwatch has been equipped with a more powerful CPU. The Californians have equipped the Apple Watch 9 with the newly developed S9 processor.
- Thanks to the more powerful processor, not only is your data processed faster, it also helps to improve the display. After all, the brightness of the Apple Watch Series 9 displays reaches up to 2,000 nits and that’s twice as much as the predecessors of the Watch Series 8. In addition, the Apple Watch can be dimmed down to one nit, which has an energy-saving effect, among other things. In short, your data is much easier to read on the Apple Watch 9 in a variety of environments than on previous versions.
Apple Watch Series 9 – what the smartwatch can do
But the new Apple Watch Series 9 doesn’t just score with a more readable display. The stronger processor and the new sensors enable an interesting feature, the so-called Double Tap.
- The Double Tap feature enables you to operate your Apple Watch 9 without having to tap around on the display. Instead, you simply place your thumb and index finger together.
- Nothing much has changed in the smartwatch’s health features. An improved U2 location chip should ensure that you are located more quickly in the event of an accident.
- When putting together your Apple Watch 9, you have the choice between an aluminium and a stainless steel case. Of course, the technology company offers different wristbands and this is new: The Apple Watch Series 9 is also available in a CO₂-neutral variant.
