Roasted peanuts: Very easy to make yourself - Practical Tips

Roasted peanuts: Very easy to make yourself

by Pramith

Fried peanuts like at the fair, easy to make yourself at home – in this practical tip we show you how to do it

Burnt peanuts – this is how it’s done

Fried peanuts are one of the favourite sweets for many people, and not just at Christmas. Here’s how you can easily make them yourself:

  • You will need: 200 grams of unsalted peanuts, 150 millilitres of water, a teaspoon of cinnamon, 150 grams of brown sugar, a pan
  • How to make: First put the sugar, water and cinnamon together in the pan. Let it boil briefly and then add the peanuts.
  • Stir the mixture over a high heat until the water has evaporated completely. The peanuts will then clump together with the sugar.
  • The sugar should then start to caramelise. If not, turn the temperature up. The peanuts are ready when they are all coated with the sugar layer.
  • Spread the peanuts on baking paper to cool. Be sure to separate them before they all stick together.
  • Just like at the fair, you can fold triangular bags for serving.
