Path of Exile – no crossplay for the time being
The developer’s statements about a possible crossplay function for Path of Exile are not entirely clear.
- In November 2018, Chris Wilson, the developer and producer of Grinding Gears Games still denied that there would be such a feature for Path of Exile.
- The reason he gave was that role-playing is different on each system.
- Much more attention was paid at that time to the design and implementation for the respective console type.
- Just one month later, the “no” no longer sounded so definitive. Chris Wilson was then already more open to a possible cross-play function.
- However, he wanted to wait until the game was implemented for the Playstation platform.
- Whether there will be crossplay for Path of Exile can neither be clearly denied nor affirmed. In any case, fans will have to wait quite a while longer.
