What emojis mean is quickly explained. If you use WhatsApp and other messenger services, you come into contact with them all the time
What emojis mean: an explanation
Emojis are used in messengers and social networks. They are used to add expression to messages.
- Emojis originally come from Japan. They are small pictures that show, for example, faces, everyday objects or other symbols.
- Translated from Japanese, the word means something like “picture letter”. The pictures began as early as 1998 with a mobile phone provider.
- The different emojis can be taken in different ways by different people. While the snarling emoji can emphasise a negative statement on the one hand, it is seen as positive by many on the other.
- You use emojis for your messages in messengers such as WhatsApp or Telegram as well as social networks such as Instagram or Facebook. You use them to emphasise statements or show the emotions you feel about the written message.
- By now, every keyboard on a mobile device is equipped with emojis. You can type them directly from the keyboard.
- On the computer, emojis are entered using special characters on your computer system. You can usually find these via the item “Edit ☻ Emojis & Symbols”.
